Death: Apr. 18, 1865

Enlisted on July 23, 1863 at New Hanover County, North Carolina as a Private in the 2nd North Carolina Light Artillery, Batty I, at the age of 18. Detailed on February 1, 1864 as a boatman. POW on January 15, 1865 at Fort Fisher, North Carolina. Confined on January 17, 1865 at Elmira, New York. Died of disease as a POW.
