|Death: ||Jun. 15, 2014|
Connie Lee (Dugdale) Dean, age 64, died peacefully at Avalon Rehabilitation Center on Father's Day, June 15, 2014, after battling long-term illnesses, with her daughter by her side. We hope you rest easy now Connie, you fought the good fight.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Dean, and her mother Lena Mae (Hainsworth) Dugdale.
She is survived by her daughter LaKisha Pressley, of Salt Lake City, and her two grandsons. She is also survived by her father Kenneth Dugdale of Salt Lake City, Utah, brothers Ken Dugdale of Sandy, Utah, Tim Dugdale of Joplin, Missouri, and sister Patty (Dugdale) Styers of Chandler, Arizona.
Connie was born on Mother's Day, May 13, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Kenneth and Lena Dugdale. Her family moved to Jackson, Michigan during her senior year of high school and she graduated from East Jackson High School before attending Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
She married Emanuel (Jimmie) Dean on May 24, 1982 in Vancouver Washington. Connie, Jimmie and Kisha lived happily in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years.
After Jimmie's death Connie and Kisha moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be near family. Connie retired after 20 years of exceptional service from the Utah State Health Epidemiology Department.
Connie was easy to talk to and everywhere she went she made friends and put people at ease. Once retired she was a hostess on the Fun Bus to Wendover, Nevada and enjoyed her time and friends there.
Connie had a beautiful Alto voice and loved to sing. She loved music and was always listening to Motown and R & B. She enjoyed reading novels, watching crime drama and painting ceramics. But of all the things we know of Connie, she received the most joy from her daughter and grandsons and her happiest moments were spent with them.
Rest in Peace Connie, you will be missed.
We will be honoring her life at an Open House at the All Seasons Clubhouse, 290 N. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah. Please drop by any time Wednesday, June 25, 2014, between the hours of 4 and 7 pm, to visit with family and share memories of Connie.
