Mrs. Lucretia Kent, three and one quarter miles south of town on Portage street, died Friday of consumption at the age of 72 years. Mrs. Kent had lived near Kalamazoo thirty-two years most of the time in Cooper. Her husband is dead. She leaves six children, Mrs. Thomas Clark of Comstock, Miss Viola Kent who resides at home, Mrs. Albert Andrus who lives just south of the city and Messrs. Hervey of St. Louis, Mo., and Lelous who lived at the family residence, Wallace of Comstock township, and a brother, Alonzo Marks of Chicago, and a brother, Leander, who lived at Placerville, Cal. She leaves also eleven grandchildren, Nellie and Harry Clark, Leslie and Harold Kent, all of Comstock township; Gracie and Herbert, Carl and Leon Andrus of Kalamazoo township, and Stella Kent of St. Louis, Mo. The funeral will be held at 10:30 Monday at the family residence. Rev. C. T. Van Antwerp of the M. E. of Comstock and Rev. L. N. Paltison of the East Avenue M. E. church of this city will officiate.
