Betty Bullard Waters, age 68, of Brunswick, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010.

Betty was a native of Thomasville, GA but had lived in Glynn County since 1968. She was a graduate of Thomasville High School and attended Freed-Hardman College in Henderson, TN and the University of Georgia. She worked at Liberty Finance Corporation for 10 years and the Trust Company Bank for 5 years. She served as the Director of the Senior Volunteer Program until her retirement then worked as a chief deputy clerk for the State Court of Georgia. Betty was a member of the American Business Women's Association, the Brunswick Jr. Women's Club and the National Guard Family Program of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Katherine Reeves, and her son, Ty Bullard.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Waters of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Calli Nicole Bullard of Brantley County; and a brother, Ronald Reeves (Lyn) of Cairo, GA.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Parrish officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the last active members of the Georgia Southern Pride Cloggers: Terri Dakin (Fred), Denise Eberly (Don), Winnie Logue (Sye Thomas), Candi Ogden (Jason) and Kaye Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are all former members of Southern Pride Cloggers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3011 Hampton Avenue, Ste. 361, Brunswick, GA 31520
