Mrs. Truman Beardsley.
Polly I. Beardsley was born in the state of Indiana August 21st, 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilmore. She moved to this city with her parents when she was a child, attended school here for several terms, and is well remembered by most of our residents. She was married to Truman M. They moved to Nickerson several years ago where her husband has been station agent.
She died at the home in Nickerson October 14th, 1909, at 1:30 p.m., death being caused from typhoid fever from which she suffered many weeks. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Truman M. Beardsley, three children, Goldie, Dilward, and Meta, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilmore of Great Bend, three brothers, George, of Lincoln township, Samuel and Cleveland of Great Bend, and five sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Smith, of New Mexico, Mrs. Oscar Riegel of Great Bend, Miss Anna Gilmore, Mrs. Fred Ewing and Mrs. Emmet Putnam of Great Bend.
