DAVID RUSSELL COLOMB, passed away unexpectedly December 22, 2012 to be with God who has welcomed him into his eternal resting place.
Although on this earth only 57 years he left his mark on this earth by sharing his talents, his smile and gentleness with all of those whose life he so enriched.
David was predeceased in death by his maternal grandparents, Annie Roche Guillot and Alfred Guillot; his paternal grandparents, Alma Mouton Colomb and Louis Henry Colomb all of whom were from Lafayette, Louisiana
David is survived by his parents, Beverly Guillot Colomb and Russell Louis Colomb of Lafayette, Louisiana. His highschool sweetheart and wife of thirty-five years Lisa Pyle Colomb. One son, Casey David Colomb of Atlanta; one daughter, Danielle Colomb Becker and her husband Jason Aaron Becker and three grandchildren, Jackson Alexander, Isabella Grace and Sophia Monique all of McDonough, Georgia. Two brothers, Garry Louis Colomb, his wife Roxeen Landry Colomb of Lafayette, Louisiana and Marc Alfred Colomb of Memphis Tn. Extended family included his father-in-law, Allen Richard Pyle, his mother-in-law, Betty Jean Morgan Pyle, his sister-in-law, Catherine Lynn Pyle, and his brother-in-law, Allen Richard Pyle, Jr. and his wife Joyce Pyle and, many nieces and nephews.
David and Lisa enriched the lives of many in Destin, Florida and McDonough and are so very thankful for the many ways their lives were touched and whose blessings gave them so much.
Although David has left many wanting and needing more of his enriching ways, we are all so very thankful that God has enfolded him into his new life with special gracefulness and we have no doubt that he will remember all of those he touched with humility when we meet again.
Life is a two-way street and David travelled the right way but the sky was his love. He was listed as an “Angel Flight” pilot but this week he used his own wings to his final destination. As his wife so eloquently put it “God needed an angel who could fly.”
In lieu of floral arrangements the family has requested donations be made to Angel Flights of Georgia at www.angelflightsoars.org or by mail at 2000 Airport Rd, Suite 227, PDK Airport, Atlanta, GA 30341 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org or by mail at 6931 Arlington Rd, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 3 pm at Community Bible Church, 2001 Jodeco Rd., Stockbridge Ga. 30218 with a reception immediately following at Eagles Landing Country Club.
