EVERETT AURBREY "BUSTER" HUDSON
Everett Aurbrey "Buster" Hudson, 93, of Hennepin died June 30, 2005, at the Veterans Center in Sulphur. The Rev. James Densman officiated at his funeral service July 2 at Krien Chapel in Davis, and he was buried in the Hennepin Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 12, 1911, at Fort Arbuckle west of Davis to William Jackson and Ruth Marie (Moxley) Hudson. Hudson attended Woodland School at Gooseneck and, in his younger years, worked on the R. L. Freeman Ranch in Davis for 14 years. He was known throughout several counties as being one of the best bronc riders in the country. Hudson married Emma Ruth Sams Jan. 2, 1932, in Sulphur. He was a Private First Class during World War II, serving with Company G, 334th Infantry Regiment, 84th Division as a rifleman. After being discharged, he and his wife lived in New Mexico several years before returning to this area.
His survivors include six sisters, Lora Williams of Davis, Patty Qualls and Joyce Ellen Hughes, both of Sulphur, Ruth Edgar of Pauls Valley, Essie Ball of Elmore City and Betty Little of Oklahoma City, and four brothers, Doyle Gene Hudson and Jack Hudson, both of Davis, Bill Hudson of Canyon, Texas, and Carl Hudson of Elmore City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and six brothers, Cecile, John, Earnest, Jessie, Floyd and J. D.
Pallbearers were W. R. Rankin, Bob Wingo, Jim Wingo, Lloyd Stapp, Richie Morton and Frank Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Jolly and Carl Hudson. Krien Funeral Home of Davis was in charge of arrangements.
