Service for Gibson
Funeral services were held at the Chapman funeral home chapel Tuesday, Sept. 26, for RICHARD WINFREY GIBSON, who died at his home here Monday. Known as Uncle Dick, Gibson was a resident of Johnston County for many years, coming here from Texas. Born in Brown County, Texas, March 22, 1870, he came to the Territory before statehood and resided in and around Tishomingo. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. CYNTHIA GIBSON, and children, ALTIE SEARS, MINNIE GOODMAN, BEN GIBSON, JONEY GIBSON, RENEE SMITH, ERNEST GIBSON, CHARLES GIBSON, and JOHN W. GIBSON.
This is what it said in the Tishomingo Newspaper. The only thing I changed was my Dad's name,it was spelled Tarnect, instead of Ernest.
Also, according to July 23rd 1870 Censes it showed Grandpa was 11/12, which meant 11 months old. I believe his birthday was Aug. 22, 1869. According to the Censes ???
