Ethelene Dillin Mader, 86, of Poolville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 16, 2010.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Poolville. Interment: Poolville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Memorials: Because Ethelene loved her church dearly, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church of Poolville, P.O. Box 27, Poolville, Texas 76487.
Ethelene was born May 25, 1923, near Perrin and married Kenneth Vaughn Mader on March 12, 1941. In addition to farming and ranching, Ethelene and Vaughn were former part-owners and operators of Willhite Melon Seed Farms. They both were longtime members of the First Baptist Church of Poolville. Ethelene taught Sunday school for many years and was involved in every aspect of her church's activities.
Ethelene was preceded in death by Vaughn on Oct. 4, 1994; her mother, Hettie Jane Dillin; father, Thomas Jefferson Dillin; and brothers and sisters, Maggie Crounse, Myrtle Hill, Roy Dillin, Janie Dillin, Tomie Dillin, George Dillin, James Dillin, Floyd Dillin, Fred Dillin, Mamie Lou Broom, Lola Smith and Raymond Dillin.
Survivors: Sons, Perry L. Mader and wife, Barbara, of Brock and Larry L. Mader and wife, Trudy, of Chico; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
