Appleton Post-Crescent, 8 December 2010, page B4: ANKLAM, MARIE L.Marie L. Anklam, age 82, of Neenah, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010, in Neenah. Marie was born in the Town of Dayton (Crystal Lake) on December 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Arnold and Alma (Nielsen) Christiansen. On November 16, 1946, Marie married Gilbert Anklam in Waupaca and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2002.Marie is survived by her children: Marvin (Kathryn) Anklam, Neenah; Patricia (Joseph Hutchinson) Anklam, Harvard, MA; Lynn (Joanie) Anklam, Simpsonville, SC; Captain Christopher (Veronica) Anklam, USN, St. Mary's, GA and Master Sergeant Timothy (Micaela) Anklam, El Paso, TX. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Stella Barrington, Normal, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.She was also preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.Marie was a homemaker and care-giver who is most remembered for the pride she took in the accomplishments of her children, and for her generousity of spirit, concern for others, humility and her home-baked cookies. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 9, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Inurnment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, King.
