He was in the Dakota territory with his Uncle Alvin Arnold and married his first cousin Arlina Everline Arnold on 18 May 1885. They had five children, Grace, Hattie, Alice, Edwin and Winifred "Winnie". He left his wife Arlina for a school teacher in Woodhaven, LA, Carrie Williamson and married her on 4 Feb. 1903 and they had a daughter Margaret.
OBIT: Frederick Eugene Arnold, a pioneer citizen of Woodhaven (a rural area near Hammond), died Monday, in his 76th year. He farmed near Tickfaw. Funeral services were Tuesday with interment in Grace Memorial Episcopal Cemetery beside a brother who died some years ago. Fred followed his wife in death by a few weeks. His wife died Mar 2, 1942. Surviving relatives include four daughters Mrs. W.F. Underwood of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. O.S. Gill of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Kid LaGrove of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Cannon Pevey of Roseland, La.; and one son, Edwin Arnold of Woodhaven.
