Frederick Harrison Baldwin, 71, of Marysville, died April 24, 1987 in an Everett hospital.
He was born May 19, 1915 in Williamsburg, KS, where he was raised. He had attended the University of Kansas, moving to Bellingham in 1933. He married Helen Branigin Jan. 1, 1942. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII [as a First Class Pharmacists Mate], later lived in Quincy, CA for eight years and the past 35 years in Marysville. Mr. Baldwin was an accountant and buyer for Everett Plywood from 1952 to 1972. He was a member of the National Train Collectors' Club and was an avid Sportsman.
He leaves his wife, Helen at home; two daughters, Nancy Canning of West Linn, OR, Mary Folkestad of Kirkland; son, Steven of Lewisville, TX; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Cleda Miller of Eugene, OR; three brothers, Reynard of Bellingham, Ted of Lynden, and Vernon of Gig Harbor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Marysville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gregory K Jackson officiating. Committal services were held earlier at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
The family requests memorials to the Aid Fund of the Marysville Volunteer Fire Dept. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday, 8-9 a.m. Tuesday, at Schaefer-shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.
