James Olen "Buddy" Loden, 75, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Dorsey to the late Lee Samuel and Evie Lou Franks Loden. He served in the U.S. Army between World War II and the Korean conflict. He moved to the Chicago area at an early age and owned and operated Loden Roofing Company for many years. He also was in commercial real estate. He was an avid fisherman.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Russ Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in Downers Grove, Ill.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Loden and wife, Terri, of Gilberts, Ill., and Tommy Loden of Chicago; four grandchildren, Kimberley, Alexandra, Luke and Elyse; five sisters, Virginia Cockrell of Ozark, Ala., Kathryn Jenkins of Arlington, Tenn., Ruby Thomas and Jane Hughes, both of Fulton, and Pat James of Arlington, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Loden, and his parents.
