Birth: Jul., 1861
Sligo
County Sligo, Ireland
Death: Mar. 18, 1880
Bourbon County
Kansas, USA

Annie was the third child of George and Annie Camac Campbell. She was born in Sligo, Ireland, where her father worked as a cabinetmaker. In the winter of 1870-71, when she was just 9 years old, her family boarded a ship for the United States. After a brief stay with relatives in New York, the moved on to Kansas. They had a good life in Kansas owning a successful farm, which they were unable to do in Ireland. Unfortunately, when she was 18, Annie contracted malarial fever, which led to her death, at the family home of Rockwood, in the Dry Ridge community, northeast of Bronson. She was first buried in what was known as the Limestone Cemetery, and later moved to the Bronson cemetery to be with the rest of her family.
