Theodore was the youngest of eight and called Babe or Uncle Babe. He was a member of the Wheelmen and had cinder chips embedded in his forehead froma night when out riding he went into a hope dug in the road for repairs. It was not clearly marked for nighttime. Every year he held a Schliessmann family reunion at his home on "B" Street, Bronx, N.Y.
He had a barn filled with every issue of the Bronx Home Journal stored there for the Bronx Historical Society of which he was a founding member.
