Gussie Bessler, 95, formerly of Peoria, died Friday at Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
Born Oct. 5, 1893 in Peoria to Jacob and Ella (Kee) Zeisler, she married Samuel Jones on Oct. 1, 1912. He died Aug. 19, 1916. She later married David Bessler on Sept. 14, 1929 in Lacon, and he died July 2, 1952. She was also preceded by one sister and three brothers.
Surviving are six nieces, including Mary Ellen Cochran of East Peoria and Shirley Gay of Peoria; and two nephews.
She had been a secretary for Keystone Steel & Wire Co.
