Funeral services will be held for Doyt Virgil Ault at the Taft Funeral Home.
Doyt was born October, 29, 1909 in Bellaire, Illinois and passed away on October 2, 2009 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He had resided in Taft for the past 62 years.
Doyt was a farmer until 1935, then a worked as a woodworker for Allis Chalmers in La Porte, Indiana, then as tool & dye machinist at Bendix, Indiana.
Doyt moved to Taft from Indiana in 1947 and retired in 1970 as a 1st class machinist from Chevron.
Doyt was a member of First Baptist Church for 62 years. He served as a Deacon and especially loved being an usher and a member of the senior singers.
He will miss his friends at the Senior Nutrition Center who made the fulfillment of his years some of the happiest.
Doyt was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Cora Bell Ault, and his wife of 63 years, Mildred Imogene "Jean" Galey Ault. His survivors include spouse, sons and their spouses, his 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
