Donald Ray Ballard was born in Sherwood, Oregon on September 22, 1920 to Milo and Minnie (Davis). They lived most of there lives in Oregon with his family; Elmer, Malvin, and Vera Ballard.
Donald was married to Gladys (Hansen) and had two girls and four boys. They made there home in Des Moines, Washington. There they all attended school and graduated from Mt. Ranier High.
Donald joined the U.S. Marines Corps and became Sgt. in World War II.
Donald, while living in Des Moines, Washington was a volunteer fireman and worked for the FAA at the Seattle Airport for several years. He had to take an early retirement due to health reasons.
Service were conducted in Oregon and he was placed
at the foot of his fathers grave with a Military stone placement.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; Father Milo Ellis Ballard in 1925; Mother Minnie Clara (Davis) in 1976; along with one sister Vera Francis Ballard in 1926.
Suervived by; his wife Gladys (Hansen) Ballard of Des Moines, Washington. Donna Ballard of Oregon. Tim Ballard of Seattle, Washington. Jerry K and his wife Roberta Ballard of Pueblo, Colorado. Joyce and her husband Mike Uyeno. of Seattle, Washington. Wes and Kathy Ballard of Soap Lake, Washington. Milo and his wife Diane Ballard of Seattle, Washington. Along with Several grandchildren and great grand children.
Donald was given military honors with a flag.
