PLAINS — Services for Wanda Verner Ashburn, 75, of Plains will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Wright officiating.
Burial will follow in Plains Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes.
She died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003.
She was born April 5, 1927, in Meadow. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1947. She married J.B. Ashburn on Dec. 27, 1947, in Meadow. She moved to Plains in 1960 and retired from the Plains School District business office. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Stanley of Plains and Brian of Lubbock; two brothers, Darrell Verner of Bethesda, Md., and Afton Verner of Richardson; two sisters, Katherine Smith of Kerrville and Carolyn Gregg of Ropesville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Plains EMS Fund in care of Plains City Hall.
