William Milton Boone, a retired carpenter residing at new Midway, died Tuesday, 8 p.m. at Frederick Emergency Hospital after an illness of two months.
Born in Frederick County, May 3, 1880, a son of the late Marshall and Clara Flautt Boone, he was a member of Rocky Ridge Church of the Brethren and was a charter member of the New Midway Volunteer Fire Company.
His wife, the late Mrs. Grace Renner Boone, predeceased him seven years ago. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Cora I. Eckenrode, New Midway; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body rests at the funeral home in Woodsboro where friends may call, Thursday evening. Remains will be removed to the Church of the Brethren at Rocky Ridge, Friday, 1 p.m., for funeral there at two o'clock.
Elder Samuel Weybright, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Powell and Hartzler, funeral directors.
