According to his granddaughter, Lillian Ledbetter Gregory, he died in Perkins, GA. Lewis was a dentist turned Methodist preacher. He preached from LaGrange to eastern GA... He died young possible from poison. His parents were Washington Ledbetter and Lucy Bostick Ledbetter and his grandfather was Col. Drury Ledbetter and grandmother was Winifred Lanier.I haven't been able to trace the Bosticks.Washington and Lucy are buried I believe in Greene County, GA. Washington died circa 1846 and Lucy circa 1867.

The three children not listed below are the Rev. Samuel Byrd Ledbetter, Carrie Harrington Ledbetter Hughes and Amelia Jordon Ledbetter Eakes.
