Tims Boyce Archibald, 53, of Denver, Colo., and a former Malad resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, at his home.
He was born July 24, 1935 in Malad, to Albert and Nancy Timms Archibald. He was raised and educated in Malad and attended Malad High School. As a young man he joined the U. S. Air Force.
He married JoAnn Davis Sept. 19, 1952 in Malad. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
While in the service he was stationed in Southeast Asia, Europe, California and the Philippines. While in the Philippines he worked in the Army hospital.
He retired from the service in 1979 and moved to Colorado. Since then he has owned and operated a dental laboratory in Denver.
He was a member of the LDS Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by two sons, Gary and Rodney Archibald, both of Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Angela) Porter, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Jay (Shelly) Darlington, Denver; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne and Elden Archibald, both of Malad.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel with Counselor Veryl Henrie officiating. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery with military rites.
