Betsey married at Bolton, P.Q., 13 Feb. 1844, Frederick Brown. In 1850, they were living in Dunkirk, Dane, Wisc. Frederick may have died there. In 1871 and 1891, Betsey was living back in the Stanstead area.

There were three children listed in the 1850 census:
Maria Brown, b. abt. 1845; R. A. Brown (fem.), b. abt. 1846; George F. Brown, b. abt. 1847.

In 1851, daughter Julie was born.
