Age at death was 59y 10d. See 1762 Administration, case 15750, of Eleazer Davis of Harvard, from Index of Probate Records, Worcester County. Served in the French and Indian Wars. Was a Pvt. in Samuel How's Company, Willard's Regmt. in the Campaign at Crown Point. Dates of service were from Sept. 13, 1755 to Dec. 12, 1755. (From Mass. Officers & Soldiers in the French and Indian Wars 1755 - 1756, edited by K. David Goss & David Zarowin, pub. by Histgen 1985.) He was also in Lovewell's Fight 1725, where he was wounded and lost a thumb. He received aid from the government "on account of the wounds and smarts received at Lovewell's fight." (p.212, The Scalp Hunters) NEHGS says 6 children.
