Albert N. Fansler

Albert Newton Fansler, 48, Springfield, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at his home.

Born Jan. 5, 1924, at Carthage, Mr. Fansler was a longtime resident here, moving to Springfield five years ago. He was married to Dorothy Wright Dec. 31, 1971, at Mt. Vernon. She survives.

He was employed as a truck driver at Rhoten Oil Co., Springfield, and was a World War II veteran and a member of Southside Baptist Church, Springfield.

Surviving in addition to his widow is his mother Mrs. Clara Fansler Nagle, Kendricktown; four sons Phillip Fansler and Alfred Newton Fansler, both Carthage; Michael Fansler, Honey Grove, Tex., and Daron Fansler, Springfield; a stepson Wayne Marriott, of the home; two daughters Mrs. Lonnie Lewis, Carthage, and Mrs. Jack Millard, 1532 Oak St., two stepdaughters Miss Donna Marriott, and Miss Lisa Marriott, both of the home; two brothers Dwight L. Fansler, Kenosha, Wis. and Raymond Kenneth Fansler, Florissant, and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ulmer Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Dayringer will officiate and burial will be in Park Cemetery.

Fansler services

Services for Albert N. Fansler, 48, Springfield, who died Sunday at his home, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ulmer Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Dayringer officiating.

Mrs. Grace Ulmer Hill sang Farther Along and The Last Mile of the Way. Mrs. H.L. Stark was organist.

Pallbearers were Matt Lee, Bob Lee, Paul Lee, Ervin Maynard, Virgil Denayer and Carl Fansler.

Burial was in Park Cemetry.

Marriage License #430 - State of Missouri

Although it doesn't mention in his obituary he was also married to Artist Ward. They were married by the Probate Judge of Jasper County, Missouri on September 5, 1947.

Marriage License on file shows Albert as 23 years of age and Artist as 17 years of age. Artist mother, Myrtle Ward was on hand to give permission for this marriage.
