Part of the information on Calvin is taken from "Tombstone Inscriptions Alford MA", compiled for First Resistance Chapter NSDAR in 1936, p.31. (Copy at NEHGS in Boston)
He is buried on the Roy Holmes land described as follows: "To get to the Holmes place you go from Alford Village up the West Road, north as far as Rev. Bowdens, continue north on West Rd to the land owned by Roy Holmes....." (Remember this was in 1936-was unable to locate this site in May 2013)
Calvin was my 5th great-grandfather.
Calvin's wife was Catherine Brazee. After Calvin's death she married Nathaniel Culver/Colver. One of the Colver sons is also buried in this location.
