Mrs. Cannon was born in Conway, SC, s daughter of Charles Brice Edwards and Carrie Johnson Edwards.
She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, where she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of the Concordia Circle and Thursday Morning Bible Study Group. Jessie was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Garden Club, and was a familiar face in the Old Village area of Mt. Pleasant, where she worked for over twenty years at the Pitt Street Pharmacy and also at Coleman's Hardware Store.
Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Charles Cannon. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Dolly Dangerfield Cannon, of Isle of Palms; three grandsons, Glenn Ashley Cannon and wife Kelley, Charles Dax Cannon and wife Treva, and Spencer O'Neil Cannon and wife Kristi; and five great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Reba Beale of Conway, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Frances "Frank" Causey, and her brother Holbert "Hob" Edwards.
The relatives and friends of Jessie Cannon are invited to attend her Funeral Service, May 22, 2012, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
