Frank Everett Swanson, age 84, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Bob Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home in Stromsburg. Burial will be in Stromsburg Cemetery.
Everett was born May 22, 1917 at Aurora, IL to Frank and Esther (Geist) Swanson. He graduated from East High School in Aurora, IL in 1934.
Everett began working for Austin-Western as a cost accountant in Aurora, IL until the mid 1950's. He then worked for the Leo G. Lauzen accounting firm in Aurora, IL. The family moved to Rochester, MN where Everett joined in partnership with Quiter, Younger & Swanson Accounting where he worked until 1977. He then semi-retired to Hemet, CA where he began working for Coachman Travel & Trailers as an office manager for seven years. He later worked for H&R Block for 15 years until they retired to Stromsburg NE on April 7, 1998.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Camenisch) Swanson of Stromsburg; one daughter Kathleen M. (Raymond) Nelson of Stromsburg; one son David B. (Susan Valvoda) Swanson of Rochester, MN; one son-in-law Bill Mosso of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren Josh Swanson and Charis Swanson Marion, Sarah and Christy Nelson; one sister-in-law Kay Swanson; two nieces Marian and Becky; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Dorothy C. Mosso; one brother Ralph Swanson and one sister Marion Swanson.
