Luella Emma Apprill, 79, Washington, died January 5, 2001, at Washington. She was born July 31, 1921, at Stony Hill, the daughter of Charles Rohlfing and wife Anna, nee Menke. She received her education at Cedar Grove School, Stony Hill. On November 16, 1940, she was united in marriage to Belmont Apprill at St. Joseph Church, Berger. Mrs Apprill was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Hoerstkamp and Leona Kissinger. She is survived by her husband, Belmont Apprill of Washington; one sister, Irene Hidritch and husband Wesley of Washington; one son Byron Apprill and wife Linda of St. Peters; one daughter, Luaine Roloff and husband Ralph of Washington; eight grandchildren, Emily Apprill of St. Louis, Melissa Apprill and husband Bryan Sokol of Vancouver, Canada, Sarah Apprill and fiance Jeff Seiz of O'Fallon, Jeff Thater and wife Nancy of Washington, Stacy Thater and wife Tara of New Melle, Mindy Rettke and husband Kevin of Washington, Julie Wilson and husband Tommy of Plano, TX, and Julie Fry and husband Jeff of Kernersville, NC; six great-grandchildren, Jared and Alicia Thater of Washington, Abigail, Allison, and Austin Rettke of Washington, and Annabelle Claire Wilson of Plano,TX; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held January 8, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington withinterment in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Cemetery, Dardenne.
