Mrs. Susan Wright, 89, years old, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Horton at Eagle Ford. The funeral will take place this afternoon with burial in Oak Cliff Cemetery.

Married John W. Wright in Dallas County, TX on 11 Oct 1857.

NOTE: Susan was born in South Carolina and traveled west with her family, arriving in Bowie Co., TX in 1836. She was a child of 10. She was married to Richard Tyler Maulding whose family were early settlers of Bowie County, TX. He died around 1856 of unknown cause. She married John W. Wright who was a Peters Colony member in Dallas County, TX and had arrived in Texas in 1844. [Thanks to Susanna Clark for this additional information]
