ESCANABA - Judith Christine Burch, 71, of 2221 5th Ave. S., Escanaba, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
She was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Escanaba, and was the daughter of Ernest and Edith Zeno. Judy graduated from Escanaba High School in 1958 and then attended and graduated from the Carnegie Institute in Detroit with a medical assistant degree in 1960.
The former Judith C. Zeno married Harold T. Burch on May 14, 1966, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba and he preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1993.
Judy worked at McDonald's Restaurant in Escanaba with the morning crew for many years until her retirement in June of 2007.
Judy was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Escanaba Eagle's Club, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Judy was very proud to have received a personal get well package from the Green Bay Packers which included a team autographed football. She also enjoyed traveling with friends, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy was the type of person that would do anything for anybody and loved life.
Judith Christine Burch is survived by: three children, Ernie (Alison) Burch of Escanaba; twins, Kristine (Mark) Guenette of Escanaba, Karl Burch of Escanaba; four grandchildren, Anna and Travis Burch, and Emily and Abigail Guenette; and special friend, Dick Schmeltzer of Escanaba.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold.
Visitation will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Eagles Auxiliary services will conducted at 5 p.m. Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services celebrating the life of Judith C. Burch will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Heskin officiating. A luncheon will be held following the funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
