Oshkosh Daily Northwestern, August 31, 1940, p. 4, c. 7. Mrs. Magdalene Baker is Summoned by Death. Mrs. Magdalene Baker, 533 Ninth street, died this morning at 6:30 o'clock at Mercy hospital. She was born at Dotyville, Wis., Sept. 26, 1866, and had lived in Oshkosh for the past seven years. Survivors are one son, Robert Armand Baker; six grandchildren, all of Oshkosh; and a brother, Peter Bechler, St. Francis, Wis. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Fiss & Bills funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Vincent's Catholic church with the Rev. Aloys Bastian officiating. Interment will be at Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Magdalene Baker were held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Fiss & Bills funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Vincent's Catholic church with the Rev. Aloys Bastian officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. The pallbearers were T.C. Reed, R.J. Fehring, Harry Willson, James Kinsler, M.C. Reigh, and Reinhard Vedder.
