Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter. City Resident Dies At 81; Rites Slated. Mrs. Josephine Basler, 81, who formerly resided at 118 Seventh St., died at the Pioneer Rest Home at 5:30 p.m. Friday following at 10 month illness. Born Feb. 13, 1887, in the Town of Forest, the daughter of Peter and Mary Diedrich Loehr, she married George Basler on Nov. 8, 1909, at St. Michael's Church in Dotyville. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1967. She resided in Dotyville until 1960 when she moved to Fond du Lac. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include three sons, Edward and George, both of Fond du Lac and Ralph of Eldorado; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Brenner of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Reinhold Pipping of Hartford; one sister, Mrs. Jacob Otto of Oshkosh; one brother, Albert Loehr of North Fond du Lac; 19 grandchildren and two great0grandchildren. Four brothers and a grandddaughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry a. Maurer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.

Rev. Msgr. Henry Mauer, pastor, will officiate at 9:30 a.m. rites at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and will be celebrant of the requiem Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Survivors include three sons, Edward and George, both of Fond du Lac, and Ralph of Eldorado; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Brenner of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Reinhold Pipping of Hartford; one sister, Mrs. Jacob Otto of Oshkosh; one brother, Albert of Fond du Lac, and 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her husband, George, died April 4, 1967.
