Retired Farmer is Dead. John Bechler, 75, Lifelong Resident of County, Expires at St. Agnes Hospital. John Bechler, 75, well known retired farmer of the Town of Empire, died at 6 a.m. today at St. Agnes hospital after 10 days illness. Born in the Town of Empire he resided there until a year ago when he went to Eden. Surviving are three sons, Arnold of Campbellsport, Clarence of Empire, and Leon of the Town of Forest; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Neis of Eden, Mrs. R.E. Vetter of the Town of Forest and Mrs. Walter Immel of Empire; a brother, Peter, of San Francisco (sic) and a sister, Mrs. Magdeline Baker of Oshkosh. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the residence and at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's church at Dotyville. The Rev. J.D. Durnin of Eden will officiate. The body will be removed to the residence Thursday. "Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter", Wednesday, November 6, 1935.

Bechler - The body of John Bechler who died Wednesday has been removed to the home of his son; Clarence Bechler, in the Town of Empire. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence at 9:30 a.m. Friday and at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's church in Dotyville. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Rites are Held. Final Services for John Bechler are Conducted from Dotyville Church. Funeral services for John Bechler, who died Wednesday, were held at 9:30 a.m. today from the family residence in the Town of Empire and at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's church, Dotyville, the Rev. J.D. Durnin of Eden officiating. Pallbearers were John and Charles McCrory, Matt Wettstein, Henry Iding, Joseph Menne and John Brown. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Those attending the services included Mrs. Magdeline Baker and Arnold Baker of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schaefer of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schaefer of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zingsheim and Mr. and Mrs. John Zingsheim of Allenton.
