George H. Allensworth
Edina, Mo., Jan. 16. - George Henry Allensworth, 57, of Des Moines, Ia., formerly of Edina, died in a hospital at Des Moines Sunday morning at 4:30.
Funeral services will be held in the Christian church at Knox City Tuesday afternoon at 2, the Rev. Terry Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Knox City cemetery.
Mr. Allensworth was born in Knox county Nov. 15, 1898 the son of George and Roena Roush. He worked as a carpenter until about 10 years ago, when he was stricken.
Surviving are the widow, the former Alpha Lou Burke; three sons, George Paul, Gary Dean and Jerry Don of Des Moines; two daughters, Miss Jane Allensworth of Des Moines and Mrs. Ann Williams of Kansas City; three sisters, Mrs. Manley Golden of Edina, Mrs. Vance Eastlick of Stewart, Neb., and Mrs. Jack Vaxendale of Durant, Okla.; a brother, Marshall of Lincoln, Neb., and a grandchild.
