Funeral services for Mrs. Roger T. Brantley, 62, Harrison, who died Monday, Oct. 21 at Talmadge Memorial Hospital, following a short illness were held Wednesday, Oct. 23rd at 3pm in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The pastor, the Rev. Harold Pullen officiated. The Rev. M.F. Price, Pastor, Harrison Baptist Church and the Rev. Dr. Rufus Hodges assisted him. Interment followed in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Mrs. Brantley, who was the former Miss Etta Evona Smith, was born Dec. 26, 1899 and was a daughter of Joe S. Smith and Mrs. Missouri Smith.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah, was a Sunday School teacher and was secretary and treasurer of the Mt. Moriah W.M.U. She was married to Roger T. Brantley who survives her.
Other survivors include daughter, Mrs. E.B. Folsom, Valdosta; brother, Raymond Smith, Sandersville; granddaughter, Yvonne Folsom.
