ESSIE M. WALKER
ADA — Services for Essie M. Walker, 90, Vanoss, are 2 p.m. Friday, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Eddie Nabors and Earl Blankenship officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died March 9, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1913, at Maxwell, northwest of Ada, to Moses Leroy and Alice Davis Baker.
Mrs. Walker lived in the Maxwell and Vanoss areas all her life and attended Maxwell school. She was a homemaker.
She and Lonnie Walker were married Oct. 31, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1956.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred Jean Nail and Lena Mae Riley Pugh; two grandsons, Tommy Dale Harrison and Terry Dwight Leming; four sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include four sons, Donald Wesley Walker, Moore, Johnny Lee Walker, Stratford, Jerry Walker and Wayne Walker, both of Vanoss; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bearers are grandsons, Jeff Walker, Keith Leming, Tony Leming, Jason Walker, Mike Walker, Chris Walker and Tim Harrison.
