My cousin has the physical items (medals, letters, gift box, portrait, etc.) and I am currently collecting genealogical data.
George's Wife's maiden name was "Stephens".
George had two children, Joan Kathleen Cantell (the future Mrs. Sawyer) born June 3, 1913, and a son, Alan George Cantell, born January 4, 1915. So sad, born after his father's death.
Joan died in July 1996. Alan died in June 1986.
I did not find a marriage record for Joan.
Alan married twice; 1st to Ida M. Distin in 1936 and 2nd to Janet M. Nelson in 1958.
