Frances A. Raichl, the daughter of Rosalia (Havlicek) and Frank Raichl, was born on June 17, 1930 in Poplar Grove Township of Roseau County. She attended country school and later married Johnnie Forst on October 19, 1952 in Badger. Together they farmed in Poplar Grove Township and raised two children, Rosalie and John. In addition to working on the farm, Frances was employed at Marvin Windows for several years. She was active with the WFLA Lodge and Northern Neighbors Club. Frances also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, canning and cooking. She will be remembered for her quiet and easy-going spirit.
She is survived by her children, Rosalie (Glen) Olson of Badger; and John (Lisa) Forst of Strathcona; three grandchildren, Michelle, Lacey and Lance; and two great-grandchildren, Devon and Blaine; and sister, Agnes Stehlik.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie in 1982; and siblings, Annie, Mary, Emma, Lillian,. Rose, Helen, Elsie and John Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau. Interment will be at the Gust National Cemetery near Strathcona.
