Ardis Marilyn Stokke was born September 28, 1923 in rural Miner County to Oscar and Laura Stokke. She died on October 6, 1993 in Seattle, WA after a prolonged illness of myeloma cancer.
Ardis attended rural schools and graduated in 1941 from Howard High. On September 28, 1942 she married Vern Buttenob of Howard. They resided in Howard, Omaha, NE and for the past 36 years in Seattle, WA. She retired from the office of Dr. Homer Harris in 1985 with 12 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband Vern; daughters Janice Franett, Laurie Nunnelee, and son Bill all of Seattle; six grandchildren, Jamee, Piper, Kristian Nunnelee, Lyndsay, Bret and Jordin Buttenob; two brothers, Owen of Tacoma and Glenn of Brier, WA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ardis will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her artistic talents and dedication of effort and responsibilithy to her community, church and country.
Interment was at Aracia Memorial Park, Seattle, WA.
