VERNON - Funeral services for John C. Robertson, 76, of Burkburnett, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sullivan Chapel in Vernon.

Officiating will be Carl Wright of Electra Community Church. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park.

Mr. Robertson died Sunday evening in Wichita Falls after a brief illness. His wife preceded him in death in 1956.

A native of Mississippi, Mr. Robertson was a retired carpenter and farmer. He moved to Vernon in 1914 with his parents. He married Miss Hazel Bond at Lockett in 1927.

He was a Baptist, and he served in the Army shortly after WWI. He is survived by one son, Johnny; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Pettit of Phillips, Mrs. Hazel Walser of Electra and Mrs. Sue Moore of Electra; one brother, Lonnie of Ore City; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
