the 1880 census.

There is a Bates County, Missouri record for the 21 Oct 1883 marriage of Mrs. Sarah Keeton and Mr. Nicholous Adams. Their ages are transcribed incorrectly in the marriage record on Ancestry.com. “Over" the age of 21 does not mean age 21. "Over the age of 18" does not mean age 18 in a marriage record.

Mr. William Asberry Keeton married Miss Sarah Leachman Stephens on March 5, 1871. Sarah Keeton was a widow in the 1880 Elkhart, Bates, Missouri census with E. A. Keeton, a
daughter, age 8; H.Keeton, a son, age 4; & D. Keeton, a daughter, age 1.

Nicholas Adams, age 79, born in Virginia, was with his wife, Sarah, age 49, born in August of 1851 in Missouri, in the 1900 Charlotte, Bates, MIssouri census. Sparton G.
Adams, 38, and Cora M. Adams, 18, were with them, a son and daughter of Nicholas Adams.
