~~~Louisa Josephine the daughter of John Stewart of Scotland and Louisa Brace.She was the eldest child of her parents who had eleven daughters and one son.
~~~On 16 Jan 1882 she married George Gordon Allen of Canada the eldest of eight sons born to Rev Thomas Allen and his wife Jessie McClellan.
~~~To this union were born three daughters: Jessie Evelyn Louisa on 12 Dec 1882, she was refered to as "Dot" all of her life since when she was born she was no bigger than a dot.Ella Violet was born on 16 May 1884 And their youngest daughter born on 13 May 1890 Lucy Elizabeth Gyda.
~~~The first two children were born on a farm that George had purchased before he wed, located about six miles from Emerson, Manitoba. When George secured a position as Collecter of Customs for Emerson they moved their family into the city of Emerson.
