Monroe County Appeal, 4/22/1965:
Mrs. Marvin A Albin, 80, the former Miss Lulu Hayhurst, died last Thursday evening in Audrain Hospital, where she had been a patient a week or more. She had been in ill health several years.
Daughter of the late Owen and Lucinia Jones Hayhurst, she was born in Momence, IL, but with Mr. Albin and their oldest children came to Monroe county many years ago. They farmed in the neighborhood southwest of Paris, where Mrs. Albin was a member of the Tulip Christian Church. Mr. Albin died in 1947 and Mrs. Albin and a son, Elmer, deceased, moved to a place north of Paris, and Mrs. Albin into Paris after the death of the son.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Viola) Huffman of Paris, Mrs. Aubrey (Nadine) Donovan, Paris; Mrs. Clark (Vera) Mosley, Mexico, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Hayhurst of Paris and Axel Hayhurst of St Paul; one sister, Mrs. Minor Stephens of Paris.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Agnew Funeral Chapel by Rev Paul Metcalf, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Paris.
