George Addison was the son of George Addison 1766-1840 and Mercy (Mary) Dodge 1779-1860. George and Mercy had 6 children. In addition, they raised Ebenezer Eaton (1800-1875), who was related through the Dodge family (FAG 92973627), born to Ebenezer Eaton and Deborah Vose on 5 Mar 1800.

George and Esther had the following children: Cordelia 1832-1909, Edward 1830-1892, Ellen S (Etta/Ettie) 1838-1925 moved to Nebraska, Mary 1828-1913, George Harrison 1836-1922 (moved to Iowa), Ann A 1834-1905, Elizabeth 1846-?, William (Billy) 1843-1900, unknown died before 1884. Some of these family members went west to California in the mid 1800's.
