Stephen Robert Stare Jr was born May 15, 1911 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. His parents were Stephen Robert & Catherine Bondero Stare Sr. He was the oldest of 4 children- Mary Stare Hogg, John J & Anthony M all of whom are deceased. He married Ellen L Carrier August 16, 1932. Together they had 5 children (names witheld for privacy). He also had 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Steve worked at Truscon Steel, was a member of The Salvation Army, St Alban Masonic Lodge 677, Aut Mori Grotto & Friendly Seniors.
His funeral was held Oct 25, 1991.
My grandpa was a very old-fashioned man. He always wore a tie whenever he went out. Each one of us grandchildren received a Bible with our name stamped on the cover when we reached a certain age. He was a healthy man with a full head of hair. He died of a massive heart attack. I know he is missed by many. (written by his granddaughter Debbie)
