SILER, Barbara Jane beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, of Kettering, OH departed peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Barbara was born in Union City, OH April 20, 1936, daughter of William B. and Hazel E. (Arnett) Studebaker. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and attended Wilmington College before choosing to devote her life to family, friends, and community service. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, painting, and gardening, and was a long time member of the Center for Spiritual Living Greater Dayton. She was preceded in death by her father William in 1972 and mother Hazel in 2009. Barbara is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dale Siler; children, Gary (Lora) of Beavercreek, and Greg of Kettering; grandchildren, Adam of Richardson, TX, Bonnie of Fairborn; step-grandchildren, Jon Ryan of Brighton, CO, Robert (Lacey) Ryan of Yuba City, CA.; brother Ron (Shirley) Studebaker of Dayton, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2:00PM at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, OH with Rev. CC Coltrain officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SICSA at www.sicsa.org. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
