Walter Kenneth Grandel

Walter was born and raised in Joliet Illinois to Amilia Bogusz (Stec) and Frank Grandel (Grzadziel). He later moved to Ohio.

Amilia (Emelia) and Frank had children: Catherine, Thomas, Joseph, John, Mary, and Walter.

Amelia and Frank divorced and Amelia married Frank Bogusz. Amelia and Frank Bogusz had additional children: Frank, Stanley, (twins) and a daughter named Anne.

Walter married Irene (Kusmierek).

Shortly after their marriage, Walter went to the service. He was in the service a few months and was medically discharged because of his knee. He couldn't walk.

Walter and Irene had three children 2 girls Joyce and Judy and Irene miscarried a son later on in life. The baby was stillbirth and the baby was full term.

They lived on Worley Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.

They then built a home on Woodlawn Drive in Parma.

Walter worked a long time at Ohio Crankshaft on Harvard. He was an inspector and his brother Frankie got him the job.

He liked dancing, smoking, fishing, and he loved playing cards - especially Poker. He lost quite a bit, but he could hardly wait to play Poker again.

Walter got his finger broken in the ringer of a washing machine and had to learn to do everything left handed.

Walter was a Diabetic and had to have one foot removed and the other leg up to the knee because of Gangrene.

He died in a nursing home on December 3, 1991.
