Sue was born February 20, 1956 in Harrisonburg. She provided child care in her home for many years prior to working at Wrangler and RR Donnelley.
She was the daughter of Geneva B. Lam and the late Virgil H. Lam of Elkton. On October 16, 1981, she married Jerry LeVan Dofflemyer who preceded her in death on April 26, 1997.
She is survived by 4 children, Angela R. Eppard, Tracee R. Eppard, Kristen M.B. Cooper and husband, Eddie and Justyn C.L. Dofflemyer, all of Elkton; 9 grandchildren, Jay Shifflett and fiance, Hailey May, Alyssa M. Shifflett, A. Brooke Cave, Zayleigh C. Eppard, Skyler A.T. Dofflemyer, JaLynn B.L. Cooper all of Elkton, Kayla M. Cooper, Alexais B. Cooper both of West Virginia and Natalee A. Cooper of Front Royal; 1 great grandson, Zachary L. Smith; and her brother, Daniel L. Lam and wife, Patricia of Elkton. Also surviving are Michael Hensley and wife, Brittany, whom she considered a son, and their boys Kaiden and Gage of Elkton.
Sue opened her home to so many and always "Kept the Light On."
A memorial service will be held 7pm Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
The family will receive friends at 6pm prior to the memorial at the funeral home.
The interment will be private at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton
