John Henry Cassel of Kramer,Ind. passed away November
1,1948. He had been a patient at Community Hospital in
Williamsport several days. Mr. Cassel was born May 19,1867
in Vermilion Co.,Ill. He was the son of George & Hariet
Wiles Cassel. On August 21,1893 he was married to Emma
Hartz in Williamsport
Mr. Cassel was a noted musican, known as one of the best
fiddle players in the area. Mr. Cassel was employed by the Mudlavia Hotel as the gardner for many years, having retired.
Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of services at 2:00
p.m. November 3,1948. The Rev. Harold Hotchkins will officiate
the services, burial will be at McCabe Cemetery. The pall bearers are; Wayne Cassel,Robert Crane,Guy Davis,Arnet Davis,
Gussie Creamer and Wayne Francis.
Surviving are sons; Harley (Marjorie) of Detroit, Mich.
Lloyd (Merle) of Judyville, and James of Kramer; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death
by a brother Roy and a sister Martha (Girdon) Crawford.
